Name: Tim Lewis
Birthday: February the 22nd, I expect a card from you now.
Describe yourself in five words: The boss so watch it!
What kind of music do you like?: Like most presenters it’s a veritable smorgasbord from cheesy party tunes on a Friday night to the Kaisers, Killers and Kooks and anything else that starts with K. I love a bit of 80s and 90s music. I think Queen are the best band of all time. In the car it’s nice to hear some pop and dance.
What makes you laugh?: Funny people and funny situations.
What can you cook?: Erm, cheese on toast. I don’t know how I’d live without the microwave oven.
What do you do on Saturday night?: Either go out or stay in.
Where's your favourite place in the World?: That’s tricky that. Sitting at home with a purring puss cat on me is nice. Having just moved here I enjoy roaming into the centre of Bath on a lunchtime the only problem is the lack of parking space and by the time I’ve got into town my lunch hour is over. I tend to find good company can improve most places and I’ve been fortunate to go on holiday with some really good friends. One of which has moved to Turin in Italy, I’ve already stayed with them once and I’m looking for another chance to abuse their hospitality.
What do you spend too much money on?: As the team at Bath FM will probably tell you I’m as tight as the corners on Queens Square!
What are your favourite films?: Too many to mention, I love films and have a bulging DVD collection. I’m a James Bond nut and have them all. I also like the Italian Job and, like most people, think the Shawshank Redemption is genius.
Are you a morning or night person?: Ten past two in the afternoon seems to be the time I’m at my best, it’s downhill from 2:11pm.
What websites do you look at when you go online?: Well the ones I can tell you about include Bathfm.co.uk, to see what Knocka’s been doing. I also like to have a peak at my old radio stations website hertbeat.com, other than that it’s the usual ones like google etc.
What's your favourite room in your house?: The bedroom ;o) There are now several people vomiting in the office, I can’t imagine why. Seriously though it is the bedroom because I can sleep in there and my cat loves sleeping on me while in bed.
Which TV shows do you enjoy?: As a non Sky person I wish Channel 4 would show more new Simpsons, Family Guy’s good, Life on Mars, the Apprentice is superb and any of the ITV detective shows (Midsommer Murders, Poirot, Marple etc.) The only soap I’ll ever glance at is Coronation Street as it has a bit of humour unlike the rest.
What hobbies/interests/obsessions do you have?: At the moment moving house is an obsession of mine, I’m hoping to move into Peasedown St John and I can’t wait. Despite my appearance I do try to get to the gym once a week.
Do you have any pets?: I’ve owned cats since the age of 4, I think they’re great and a lot easier to look after than dogs. I’d like to point out I like dogs too and don’t agree with the argument that if you like one you must dislike the other. Although I don’t see the point in pathetic little dogs that look like drowned rats when they go out in the rain. If you’re gonna get a dog get a proper sized one.
What annoys you?: People who lie to me, have no respect or manners, people who smile in your face but all the time want to take your place, backstabbers (ummm that could make a good song.) I could go on for hours on this one.
What are you not very good at?: Where do I begin? I’ll ask the team here at Bath FM about that one and get back to you. I hope it doesn’t completely crush my confidence.
If you weren't on the radio what would you do?: Something menial that requires no work, oh hang on a sec that’s what I do now!
